PHP vs. IOP

As a blended partial hospitalization program for teens, Ascend offers elements of both PHP and IOP approaches. You can expect this program to have an intensive approach that targets acute mental health needs that still allows clients to go home to their families every night. Our adolescent partial hospitalization programs are not currently condition-specific, but we offer a broad range of comprehensive therapies, including:

  • Non-residential, first and last step clinical programming
  • A trauma-informed, relationally-based clinical program model
  • Individual, family, and group therapies
  • Various treatment modalities, like DBT, mentalization, and experiential therapy
  • Case management services
  • Medication management and psychiatry
  • Parent support, education, and workshops
