What Is An HR Liaison?
The HR Liaison at Ascend handles employee paperwork, onboarding, and training. Nnaemeka also handles promotions and terminations, assisting in filling roles and answering HR-related questions. One of the most important parts of Nnaemeka’s job is running Ascend Academy, where new hires learn how Ascend operates.
Life Before Ascend
Before starting at Ascend, Nnaemeka was working toward a sociology degree at San Jose State University. He always wanted to work in HR, supporting organizations through people management. Nnaemeka’s first job was actually as a human resources recruiting specialist, where he learned how to assess candidate qualifications for each role and guarantee the best fit.
A Day in Nnaemeka’s Life
Nnaemeka has to balance supervisor requests, changing personnel, and audits on a fairly regular basis. On a typical day, he may be checking employee Livescans, assisting new hires throughout the onboarding process, managing employee accounts, and processing status changes. Many days, he also needs to update release training, as well as clinical and medical licenses for our therapy and nursing teams. You may even find Nnaemeka updating job ads or scheduling interviews with potential new hires.
