Shelly has been in practice for 30 years. She earned a B.A. from UCLA in Philosophy, and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She has extensive training in Hypnosis and has been certified in EMDR since 1994. She is an artist, and works with artists of all kinds, helping to unblock creativity and focus their work. Shelly has taught psychology and philosophy classes at local colleges for many years and also supervises interns in her private practice and at Antioch University Counseling Center.
Shelly works with a significant amount of trauma victims who have struggled with symptoms since childhood. She is very gratified when the therapy that she uses helps bring relief after so long.
We are each on our own personal journey. At many points on our path we come to a crossroads – a critical transition. Each individual reacts uniquely to these challenges. We may feel unable to move, overwhelmed, or afraid and lost. Wherever your child is now, the therapy Shelly offers can bring clarity, deepening of awareness, exploration of creative alternatives, and provide direction on their journey.
