Melissa Dumaz is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience in psychotherapy. She specializes in guiding clients through the complexities of overcoming emotional and physical trauma. She also helps clients of all ages deal with grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, transitions in life, family conflict, self-esteem, and stress management.
Melissa graduated from the University of La Verne with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and obtained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Long Beach. Melissa garnered valuable hands-on experience as a clinician by working in non-profit, rehab, group home, hospital, schools, and private practice settings. Melissa has been trained in specialized methods of therapy, including: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Incredible Years Parenting Program, and Seeking Safety.
Melissa is happily married with with three kids. In addition to helping others, you can find Melissa cooking for her family & friends, practicing her photography skills, writing, painting rocks, and escaping to the nearest beach as often as possible.
