Many people ask me what I enjoy most about being a psychologist. My simple response is that I truly enjoy helping people learn how to advocate for themselves. When people think about advocacy they think about legal pursuits or policy change. For me, advocacy starts with our own needs. When we can take care of ourselves, we are likely better at taking care of others. Helping someone achieve the goal of self-care is one of the most rewarding experiences for me when providing therapeutic services as well as testing and assessment services.
I pay close attention to the needs of the client and decide in a collaborative way what might be the best treatment plan moving forward. I truly enjoy working with clients and welcome the opportunity to answer your questions about the therapeutic process or any other questions you may have about my practice.
